I found a great dog treat recipe for spent grains after brew day. We made a double batch today from the left over grains from a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA clone I brewed and Libby, our German Shepherd, approves! Ironically enough, the recipe comes from Deschutes’ Brewery.
4C spent grain
2 large eggs
1C natural peanut butter
Blend the ingredients in a large bowl by hand. Roll out on a flour covered surface and use a cooking cutter to make shapes. Place onto cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes at 350. For longer lasting treats, reduce heat to 225 for 2 hours.
